After showings in the world’s most celebrated theaters including Broadway itself and London’s West End, Hamilton will now also be performing for a limited season this summer in KeyBank State Theatre of Cleveland, an equally renowned venue known for its premier amenities fit to present world-class plays and shows.

Hamilton honors the life of Alexander Hamilton, conceived and composed by the multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, basing it off the 2004 biography of Ron Chernow. It retells the historical story of Hamilton himself in a ‘hipper’ style, remaining close to the facts behind Hamilton's life but with and musical choices that makes this production very entertaining. Hamilton originally began off Broadway in mid 2015 and was instantly met with smashing reviews for its debut. As well as a variety of press articles and audiences, The Washington Post, called it “making ecstatic history”, as the production’s performance with its smashing cast including the likes of show creator Lin-Manuel Miranda himself in the lead role and Tony Award winner Jonathan Groff, wowed audiences in its debut with a brilliant performance. The Musical went on over the next decade to collect 11 Tony Awards from sixteen nominations, as well as Olivier, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Awards.

Since it began in 2015, Hamilton has toured to be performed in several theaters around the globe, where it has been getting continuously positive reviews. BroadwayWorld calls The production “the hottest ticket in town”, as it appeals to a broad range in audience due to it being relatable to both the more seasoned generations who were interested in the history behind the production, and the newer audiences that wanted the fresh and innovative approach behind Hamilton. In London’s West End, TimeOut mentions their worry behind Hamilton being overblown, but that “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, is actually better than the hype suggests”. Additionally, recently with a touring cast in its Manila, Philippines’ performance, PEP PH describes the production as a “visual and sensory feast that adds layers of depth to the narrative”; “This musical is a masterpiece not because it tells a flawless story, but because it brilliantly captures the essence of the imperfect human experience, and in doing so, it achieves perfection on the stage”, they add.

Magazine critics and audiences alike agree that the production is a must-see this summer as it picks up its tour all over the world.
